Morocco Feasibility study: Customer’s agreement: ADEREE (de I’Agence nationale pour le developpement des energies renouvelables et de l’efficacite energetique) in Morocco has confirmed their great interest in Purenco technology and will together with Purenco and their partners commit to work with the feasibility study of the Atlantic coast of Morocco. The feasibility study will identify national territories where potential project could be implement and where the first pilot plant from Purenco can be installed. NORAD (Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation) will fund the feasibility project with 50%.
Prototype 3: Purenco plans to build and install two test units: Prototype 3A and 3B, at the coast of Western Norway in 2012, the largest having a freshwater capacity of 50 m³ freshwater production per 24h.
Freshwater Pilot project: Following a successful demonstration of Prototype 3, the company will be ready to commission our first commercial pilot plant in 2013/2014, producing and delivering freshwater to the consumer market. The first pilot will most likely be located in Morocco or in the Canary Islands.
